It’s just a promo. Pat Cummins teased Virat Kohli for fun in a promo. It matters for Virat Kohli too.

When it comes to the promotional aspect, Pat Cummins is still in the Australian team. It’s a big doubt whether Pat Cummins is included in playing 11 or not in the Champions trophy squad. As a recent report Andrew McDonald himself mentioned that three players in the Australian squad are likely to rule out for the Champions trophy. Pat Cummins is one among three who got injured and is likely to rule out of the champions trophy. Australian management is now looking for the new captain and replacement for Pat Cummins.

But, the promo by Pat Cummins is on an intense level rather than playing in the Champions trophy. He is teasing Virat Kohli that he used to play very slowly. Being doubtful in playing the tournament, how can a player comment intensely on the other player. But, the comment is  for fun and entertainment.

What happened to Australian management. One side players are getting injured ,on the other hand players are announcing retirement. Now the retirement is announced by a player who has been selected for Champions trophy 2025. Marcus Stoinis announced official retirement from the ODI formats today 6th February, though has been selected in the squad for the Champions trophy.

It’s not understanding at all , what’s happening in Australian cricket. Now it’s totally 4 players are likely to miss out  for the Champions trophy i.e Pat Cummins, Josh Hazelwood, Mitchell Marsh, and now Marcus Stoinis.

Mitchell Marsh is already ruled out, Josh Hazelwood likely to rule out because of lack of fitness, Pat Cummins also injured who may not be playing. And Marcus Stoinis who announced retirement today.

The main core players who will be playing in playing 11, if all 4 players missed out then Australia will be in great trouble. Australia was strong enough and now injuries, retirements ruining Australia.

It’s not about the replacement players that they will not be impacting anything. They might be strong enough to play. But, there will not be any consistency in winning, prediction etc. if Australia lacks these four key players. The team in the 2023 or world cup team will vanish. It’s totally like seeing a new squad.

Australia won the world cup in 2023. The strength and quality of the team was ultimate. If these 4 players missed out, replacement can be taken but not quality or  strength. To be honest there won’t be any impact as before. The replacement for these players has not been announced yet, it will be announced during the final squad announcement.

 Whatever, A preliminary or provisional squad released by Australia, the names of these players were existing, but now it’s totally vanishing. What a change!!. If a player is not likely to play , why didn’t he give retirement before?!. A few days to start the Champions trophy, the key players are announcing retirement.

Marcus Stoinis mentioned that he wants to concentrate on T20’s. One and only in T20. Hence, Marcus Stoinis gave retirement in ODI format. Only a few days left for Champions trophy, even having his name in the squad, it’s foolish to announce retirement at the moment. He would have announced retirement prior to the announcement of the preliminary squad. He is going without any injury.

Seriously it is heart breaking to all the Australians. It would have been better if he announced retirement after the Champions trophy.

Y a such decision now? The decision is totally based on Marcus Stoinis. The decision is supported by Australian head coach , Australian board. No player will be allowed to play pressure. Hence the Australian board supported Marcus Stoinis decision.

Stoinis played a total of 71 matches in ODIs. He has scored a total of 1400+ runs and has taken 40+ wickets. Being an all rounder showed his best performance in batting and bowling too. In 2018 he received the best cricketer of the year award from the Australian cricket board.

So, finally Australia losing 4 players out of which two are ruled out and two are 50% chances to miss out Champions trophy.

Everyone has to lost for this update. Abhishek Sharma has jumped to 2nd place next to Travis head in ICC mens T20. Tilak Varma also got a huge just in T20 ranking. And now Abhishek Sharma got a huge jump and ranked to 2nd with rating points of 829. The first place is occupied by Travis head with the rating points of 855. And Tilak Varma in the third place with 805 points.

Abhishek Sharma has jumped 38 slots at a time and reached second position. One can say that India ruled at the top of the table. Suryakumar Yadav ranked 5th. The performance in the last T20 against England was not up to the mark. If he performed better, he would have been in the top 3. Let’s see who will be at the top of the table for longer i.e Abhishek Sharma or Tilak Varma.

When we open T20 history Afghanistan’s Rashid Khan took the most number of wickets. A total of 633 wickets have been taken by Rashid khan in T20 format. 2nd is Dwayne Bravo who has taken 631 wickets. Rashid khan is 2 wickets ahead of Dwayne Bravo. Rashid Khan achieved this milestone in just 461 matches. Rashid Khan erased the previous world record and created a new record of highest wickets in T20.

Rashid Khan is still 26, he will be playing for more than 10 years. He might reach a milestone where no one can achieve it. There are higher chances that he might go beyond 2000 wickets. So , it’s very hard to beat his record. Some players might beat in the future !
