Update number 1: BCCI issued new rules to stadiums for IPL 2025
BCCI has bought new rules regarding stadiums set up. For IPL, all the stadiums should be super fresh. Not only seating arrangement, pitch, outfield area also has to be super fresh. All the stadiums should be well maintained for the coming IPL. Regarding this, BCCI issued new rules to the stadium management.
All the stadiums which are hosting IPL matches have to follow the rules issued by BCCI. BCCI officially sent mail to the administrations of the stadium. Stadiums should not allow certain things including IPP franchise are not allowed to the stadiums
Which stadiums got official mail from BCCI ?
1) Mumbai Cricket Association, Mumbai ( Wankhede stadium )
2) Karnataka cricket Association, Bengaluru ( Chinnaswamy stadium)
3) Tamil Nadu cricket Association, Chennai
4) Hyderabad Cricket Association, Hyderabad
5) Bengal Cricket Association, Kolkata
6) Delhi Cricket Association,Delhi
7) Uttar Pradesh Cricket Association
8) Panjab Cricket Association
9) Rajastan Cricket Association
10) Assam Cricket Association
11) Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association.
Other stadiums like Dharamshala, Guwahati also received mail from BCCI. These associations should maintain the stadium fresh and clean. Providing stadium to the local tournaments and small leagues leads to failure of maintenance of stadiums to the big league like IPL.
One month left to start IPL. Stadiums should not give any preference to the local matches. Two points in mail are clearly notified to all the stadium associations.
What are the rules issued by BCCI?
- ” The main square and outfield may be used for the Ranji trophy knock out matches should any be scheduled at your venue “
Accordingly, the associated stadiums which are mentioned are allowed to play domestic Cricket matches like Ranji trophy whenever the matches are scheduled at a particular stadium. The 30 yard circle and whole stadium can be used for these domestic cricket matches.
- ” Under no circumstances, the main square and outfield will be used for any local matches, legends league, celebrity cricket, or provided to the IPL franchise for the practise sessions.”
According to this point , the stadiums are not allowed to play any local cricket matches, celebrity leagues or any type of practise for the particular franchise. For example RCB players are not allowed to practise in Chinnaswamy stadium. They can be practised elsewhere other than the main stadium. The mail was sent strictly to all the mentioned associated stadiums.
We hope all the stadiums will follow strictly the rules issued by BCCI. Still CCL matches are left in Gujarat, Delhi, Hyderabad, lets see what stadiums will do here? Are they going to follow the rules or not. Or they simply leave the rules as they know how to maintain the stadium apart from the rules issued by BCCI. The rules say even IPL franchises are not allowed to practise in their home stadiums.
What rules? What BCCI is targeting here? Is it possible to keep stadiums clean without playing any matches apart from IPL? IPL franchises are also not allowed to practise? It’s not like till the start of IPL, it’s like until they say, let’s see how stadiums will follow all these rules issued by BCCI. It’s like a limitation in IPL.
Update number 2: IPL 2025 schedule released?
Many people are asking, regarding IPL 2025 schedule. 1 month left to start IPL. Many people started questioning BCCI, where the schedule is, It’s only one month left to start IPL. Here is the update.
The schedule is not released yet. But the update is about the schedule. The schedule might release within a week. bCCI official Rajeev Shukla gave an official statement that IPL 2025 will be starting from March 21st. And in a week the official schedule will be released.
As we already know about these updates, the quite interesting one is the final will be playing in Eden Gardens, Kolkata. The home ground of Kolkata knight riders
The two playoffs 1st and 2nd will be playing in Hyderabad. 3rd and 4th playoffs matches will be playing in Eden Gardens, kolkata.
The two venues i.e Hyderbad and Kolkata are fixed for playoffs and final. When the official IPL schedule comes, the venues for playoffs and final will be officially confirmed.
Delhi capitals will be playing two home ground matches in Vishakapatnam. The shift is due to constraints in Arun Jatley Stadium. The update is officially confirmed. When the schedule is out we will be knowing that Delhi capitals will play in Vishakapatnam initially or later on. But playing in Vishakapatnam is confirmed.
Rajasthan Royals also playing two of their home ground matches in other stadiums like Guwahati. The update is not officially confirmed.
Update number 3: Jadeja answers related health of Jasprit Bumrah
Bumrah is the valued seam bowler in all the formats in the Indian team. He is one of the leading wicket takers. During the Border Gavaskar trophy Bumrah got injured and ruled out from India’s series against England.

If he plays better, then he will be selected for the Champions trophy if Bumbrah does not recover for the Champions trophy.
