Update number 1: India and New Zealand entered into semi finals

Group A.
We all know what happened in the matches of India vs Pakistan and New Zealand vs Pakistan. The host team Pakistan is out of the tournament.
Before the match between New Zealand and Bangladesh, Pakistan kept hopes to qualify for the semi finals. New Zealand vs Bangladesh. What’s the impact on Pakistan?

Bangladesh is out of the tournament and Pakistan also has to go out of the tournament.

Group B.
It is much more interesting than Group A. Group B has a lot of tough fights. All the teams left with 2 matches each. The scene is different, if they lose one match the team has to go out of the tournament.
South Africa has won 1 match. But that is against Afghanistan. Australia has won 1 match against England. In the Match between Australia and South Africa, the winning team will be qualified. But it won’t be confirmed officially. Because South Africa has a huge run rate. They won in high margin against Afghanistan. With their high run rate, they can be qualified by winning against England.
England has already lost 1 match. To qualify, they have to win the rest of the matches. If they lose their next match, they will be ruled out of the tournament. They are inside the talk that England might do something and qualify for the semi finals.
Group A is sealed down and Group B is yet to decide. There is no craze in Group A because the teams are qualified so early. If Pakistan had won the match against New Zealand, then there would be a craze till the last match. Since Pakistan has lost, India and New Zealand have qualified, there is no curiosity in the rest of the matches as they are death driven matches.

S it was a convincing win. Sparing a team with 7-8 overs is not simple. India did against Pakistan. What Shreyas Iyer says is that the Indian team would have won earlier. 40 overs is too lengthy. India has taken a long time, if India played aggressively they would have sent Pakistan out a little early.
If India has won a little earlier. We would have boosted our run rate. Actually the run rate will not matter at all. Because India has already qualified for the semi finals. The only thing that differs is the opponent playing in the semi finals.

Some people might be confused that this viewership is a fake number. The views counted based on number of people visited, not the number of people watching live. It means 60.6 people has visited the platform. People were confused here and started blaming that it is a fake number.
Actually it was a free streaming in Jio hotstar. How can a 60.6 crore, almost half of the Indian population visited the platform? It was free in mobile, so this might be a reason to have such a huge number. If it was not free, the number would have decreased to little less.
Still it is confusing. The total Indian population is 140 crores. Almost half of the population of India visited jio hotstar. Should we believe this? Actually Indian population is much more than 140 crores. It was a record of 60.6 viewership in India vs Pakistan of ICC champions trophy 2025.
