Pakistan scored a total of 241 runs in 49.4 overs with the loss of 10 wickets. Initially a good partnership of 41 runs came between Babar Azam and Imam Ul Haq. Imam ul Haq was a replacement player for Fakhar Zaman who got ruled out due to injury.
At 8.2 overs Babar Azam was dismissed by Hardik Pandya for an edge and caught straight away by KL Rahul. After Babar Azam dismissal, Imam Ul Haq went out for a run out. Axar Patel made a bail on the stumps to fall down to send Imam Ul Haq to the dressing room
A good partnership came between M Rizwan and S Shakeel. Rizwan scored 46 from 77 balls and Shakeel scored 62 from 76 balls. A partnership of 100+ runs came from these two. It was low scoring and strike rate was very less. The middle order batting of Pakistan was struggling a lot against Indian bowling.
No much contribution came from other players except M Rizwan and S Shakeel. Pakistan scored a total of 241 runs for all out. This score is not enough at all for India. Hardik pandya successfully break down Pakistan to score less than 250.
Indian bowling dominated
Coming to the Indian bowling, Hardik Pandya took two main crucial wickets i.e Babar Azam and S Shakeel. Kuldeep Yadav haven’t got any wickets in the early stage. By the end he took a total of 3 wickets with an economy of 4.44.
Ravindra Jadeja, A patel, and H Rana took each wickets. M Shami who was the reason to beat Bangladesh did not get wickets against Pakistan. But the bowling was economical and did not allow Pakistan to score much runs.

As usual the opening of India was done by Rohit Sharma and Shubhman Gill. A good initial start by these two openers. A partnership of 31 runs came from these players. Rohit Sharma who was playing beyond 100+ strike rate was got out by Shaheed Afridi.
Virat’s century
After the dismissal of Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli came to the crease and remained as not out till the end of the game. He successfully chased down the target set by Pakistan. He scored a brilliant century of 100 from 111 balls with the strike rate of 90+.
Virat Kohli was not in the form in the recent international matches. Virat Kohli back to his form again. His centuries against Pakistan proved what he is for India. It is much greater than winning 10 IPL trophies. Whatever, Virat Kohli shows his clear agressiveness when the opponent is Pakistan.
When Virat Kohli scored an half century, the views in Jio hotstar has crossed 50+ crore views. Such a man is Virat Kohli and an RCBian. It was doubtful about Virat Kohli’s century. Axar Patel gave him a crease to score ball to ball and made Virat’s journey towards century.
On the other hand, Shubhman Gill was also performed well. His performance is consistent since last few matches. The same form he continued against Pakistan too. He scored 46 from 52 balls and got dismissed by Abrar Ahmed
It was a clear bold. Shubhman was about to defending the ball. It was a googly and went straight to hit the edge of the wicket. It was surprising and unbelievable for Shubhman Gill. He was totally unlucky to get dismissed at 46 runs which is 4 runs ahead to get half century.
A 100+ partnership came from Virat Kohli and Shreyas Iyer. No words about Shreyas Iyer. We have seen his performance since Indian series against England. He was consistent and scoring runs with an average of 50+ runs. He scored 56 runs and got dismissed by K Shah. It was an unbelievable and excellent catch from Imam Ul Haq.
Hardik Pandya played very aggressively. Soon he went to the dressing room. Next Axar Patel came at number 5 and helped Virat to score century. India successfully chased down 241 in just 42.3 overs.
Coming to Pakistan’s bowling, no effective bowling has come from Pakistan bowlers. Shaheen Afridi took Rohit’s wicket and Hardik Pandya’s wicket. K Shah and A Ahmed took each wickets. Pakistan bowlers have failed to put a stop to the Indian batters.
Whatever, Indian team looks so strong. Pakistan cannot reach up the level to beat India. Once again Virat Kohli proved that he is the father of Pakistan bowlers.
