The wait is over. BCCI officially announced IPL schedule 2025.

We were eager to know when the schedule would be out? What would be the update? Venues? Matches?. Finally the IPL schedule is out. Now we have answers for these questions.
The first match will be playing on 22nd March between RCB vs KKR, in Eden Gardens, Kolkata. It’s an inaugural match. After a long time RCB is taking part in an inaugural match. The excitement is very high and at an extreme level fot the 1st match.

The second day 23rd March will be having two matches i.e afternoon match and evening match. The afternoon match will be playing between Rajastan Royals (RR) and Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in Rajeev Gandhi stadium. The evening match will be playing between Chennai Super kings (SRH) and Mumbai Indians (MI). This match also gives more craze.

The start looks very attractive, on 22nd March it’s RCB vs KKR, we all know the excitement and craze for this match and inaugural match too. On 23rd MI vs CSK this match also looks very aggressive. BCCI set a proper patch of IPL for the good beginning by selecting popular teams in initial matches.

On 24th, the match will be playing between Delhi Capitals (DC) and Lucknow Supergaints (LSG) i.e KL Rahul vs Rishabh Pant. It looks like they just exchanged their team’s. On the 25th it’s between Gujarat Giants ( GT) and Punjab Kings (PBKS). On 26th the match it is between RR vs KKR. On the 26th onwards teams will be going for repetition.

Qualifier 1 and eliminator matches will be playing in Hyderabad. Qualifier 2 and the final match will be playing in Eden Gardens, Kolkata. The initial inaugural match and final match will be playing in the same venue i.e Kolkata

What will be the RCB’s schedule?

RCB will be playing a total of 7 home ground matches. The first match i.e inaugural match will be playing on 22nd March against Kolkatta knight riders.
RCB will be playing on 22nd March, 18th March, 2nd April, 7th April , 10th April. In starting 5 matches, RCB will be playing two home ground matches. When we go to the bottom, the home ground matches gradually increases.

The last match will be playing against KKR on 17th May. The first and final, both the matches will be against KKR. In fact the leagues last matches will be SRH vs LSG and GT vs CSK. These matches are also very crucial for playoffs. If RCB is in the last match of IPL, then the craze, excitement will be much better than other matches.

RCB will be playing two matches against CSK this season. The biggest rivalry matches are taking place on 28th March and 3rd May. Almost one month gap between these matches. The team which lost has a one month time to recover.

We have seen all the Matches of RCB, 17 th May is also a crucial match. Initially RCB will be losing matches and later on winning efficiency increases. Sometimes , RCB will keep winning initial matches and losing ending matches as we seen in the previous IPL seasons. Let’s see how RCB will perform this season. We all hope RCB will play better under the captaincy of Rajat Patidar.

Update number 2: Mumbai Indians added a new replacement

A big replacement happened for IPL 2025. Mumbai bought Allah Ghazanfar in IPL mega auction 2025 after spending a huge purse. Mumbai Indians were in need of quality and mysterious spinners and then they bought Allah Ghazanfar. Now this player has been ruled out of IPL 2025 due to injury.

Immediately after being ruled out of Allah Ghazanfar, Mumbai Indians announced a new replacement. Afghan player Mujeeb Ur Rahman who went unsold in an IPL auction and entered into Mumbai’s squad as a replacement. An Afghan to Afghan, spinner to spinner, a like to like replacement.

Recently Allah Ghazanfar had made sound and performed well in recent matches. But, Mujeeb Ur Rehman did not meet expectations. He played well once upon a time but not recently. Will see how Mujeeb Ur Rahman performs in IPL 2025.

Update number 3: Rishabh Pant got injured.

One injury concern has been raised for India in the Champions trophy 2025. Rishabh got injured during practise session in Dubai. The shot hit by Hardik Pandya went straight and hit to Rishabh pant. The impact is known, the image shows that Rishabh Pant slept on the ground and other players are giving an ice pack to the injured site.

The impact of injury is unknown, the severity of injury is unknown. No updates have been released by BCCI. The update is only about Rishabh Pant getting injured. Anyways Rishabh Pant is only a back up wicket keeper. Goutham Gambhir already mentioned that the first priority wicket keeper will be KL Rahul. In case of extreme injury BCCI announces replacement.
