Completely banned from IPL!?, How many matches did he get banned? Pandya is officially banned for only one match i.e.match between MI and CSK which is scheduled to play on 23rd March.

Why will Hardik Pandya not be playing their first match? What was the reason?
Hardik Pandya hasn’t made any illegal mistakes. The only reason is slower over rate. According to the IPL rule of conduct, if a captain proceeds with a slower over rate for the complete 20 overs for three matches then the captain will be banned for the next coming match.
In the first offence, BCCI gives a credit of slow over rate, and in the second offence, they fine a captain and in the third offence they ban a player along with 30 lakhs fine. If it is a third offence, all the players in the team will be fined with 12 lakhs each.
What was the scene to ban Hardik Pandya?
In the last season, The final match of Mumbai Indians was played between MI and LSG. Mumbai did not qualify for playoffs but they bowled at a slower rate. Hence Hardik Pandya officially ruled out from the 1st match against CSK.
What is this scene? Why are they interlinking the previous season to this season? Why can’t they consider only a new season? Why the last season here? But IPL rules are different, their rules will be carried to the next season. If the mistake is in the last match of the previous season, then the player will be banned in the next season 1st match. Who will be the captain of Mumbai Indians against CSK ?
Mumbai Indians will have three options excluding Hardik Pandya. Suryakumar Yadav, Jasprit Bumrah, and Rohit Sharma. Surya Kumar is the current Indian T20 captain. If he wins the 1st match against CSK, in later matches and future seasons the captaincy might go to Suryakumar Yadav. So it’s doubtful about giving captaincy to Suryakumar Yadav.
The scene is different, because Suryakumar Yadav has already won the T20 series against England and led the series 4-0. Hence if they win the first match in the IPL under the captaincy of Suryakumar Yadav. The franchise might ask Suryakumar Yadav to lead all the matches of IPL as a captain. This will be unfair to Hardik Pandya. Hence, the chance might not go to Suryakumar Yadav.
Other than Suryakumar Yadav, Mumbai has an options of Jasprit Bumrah and Rohit Sharma. Rohit Sharma has left has captaincy since 2 years. He might take captaincy for one match. Like how Virat Kohli took captaincy in the previous season when Faf Du plessis injured. Virat Kohli also left leading RCB as a captain but played two matches as a captain in Du plessis absence. It’s just one match. Rohit might step down again to lead MI as a captain.
If the captaincy goes to Rohit Sharma, there will be a relative meaning behind that. If Suryakumar Yadav gets a chance and wins the match, by the way Hardik Pandya loses following 2-3 matches, then rumours spread enormously. If the captaincy goes to Jasprit Bumrah, it will be neutral. No fights or agressiveness among fans. So there are higher chances that captaincy will go either Jasprit Bumrah or Rohit Sharma.
