RCB final squad analysis. IPL 2025.

Welcome to the Latest Cricket Updates,

The RCB Unbox event was conducted on 17th March. All the RCB players including retain players and players bought in IPL mega auctions were present to the unbox event. None of the players were missed in the event. All the 22 players were present without any rule outs. This created a lot of pressure among RCB fans.

The team that we expected after the auction table and the team which was in the unbox event was the same. We have seen in other IPL franchises that the players are getting ruled out. Eg: Mumbai Indians has two replacement players because the main original players got ruled out due to injury. But none of the players in RCB are ruled out. The original team attended the Unbox event.

The 22 core players were attended. No excuses will be given to these players i.e injuries etc. These players have to play IPL 2025 on behalf of RCB without giving any reasons to get ruled out of the team. All the winning strategies have to be followed and the team should focus on winning an IPL trophy.

Before the auction, we were expecting different players to the team based on their recent form. But unfortunately we didn’t get all the expected players. It’s a question that the players bought by RCB management are in form?!. Let’s get into their recent form and let’s know how a player can impact RCB in IPL 202

RCB final squad analysis

1) Virat Kohli

Virat is in form ?!. S , Virat Kohli is in form . We have seen him playing in the recent Champions trophy. Virat Kohli was the second highest run getter for India. He scored a massive, brilliant century against Pakistan. When it comes to IPL, no words about Virat Kohli as he will always be in the form.

2 ) Rajat Patidar

The spin destroyer, Rajat Patidar was selected as a captain of RCB based on his recent form and his captaincy in the Syed Mustaq Ali trophy. S , he is making a huge sound and he performed well in the recent domestic cricket. In the previous IPL season, he gave his best to the team.

3) Yash Dayal

Yash Dayal is in form!? We have seen him in domestic matches.. In IPL 2024, his performance was good and did not make much sound later. Let’s see in IPL 2025 how he performs for RCB.

4) Liam Livingstone

A lot of expectations have been kept on this English cricketer, Liam Livingstone. He was not in the form in recent matches. In the Champions trophy, T20 and ODI series against India, he did not perform at all. No hopes should keep on this player because of recent form but let’s hope to play better for RCB.

5) Phil Salt

It’s a known thing that Phil Salt is not in the form. He might come back in the IPL though he was not in the form recently. High expectations were kept on Phil Salt.

6) Jitesh Sharma

Jitesh Sharma performed well in the Syed Mustaq Ali trophy. Being a captain, he played well and led the team well and well. His recent statements are going viral. Recently he said that RCB can win consecutive trophies if they perform aggressively in all the matches. Statements are going viral but winning against other teams remains unavailable. Jitesh Sharma did not play even a single match for RCB but statements are like creating fire.

7) Krunal Pandya

Again, Krunal Pandya is also in the form. He appeared well and did a good captaincy for Baroda in the domestic cricket. As a captain, his individual performance was also good.

8) Josh Hazelwood

Josh Hazelwood is a recovering player. Recently he was likely to be ruled out from the IPL due to injury. But he was present in the RCB’s unbox event.

Josh Hazelwood is recovering from injury. It’s doubtful about how he will be appearing effective after injury.

9) Bhuvaneshwar Kumar

The main bowler of RCB for IPL 2025. He looks consistent in all the IPL seasons. No words about Bhuvaneshwar Kumar, he might be the top wicket taker for RCB in IPL 2025.

10) Swapnil Singh

In the previous season, there was a 0.1% chance for RCB to qualify for the playoffs. RCB did it. This player has contributed a lot to RCB to qualify for the playoffs. The same result can be expected in this season too. Whatever the matches he played for RCB, are more towards winning strategy. We can say RCB is lucky to have him because RCB won all the matches by having this player in the team. He is a lucky champ.

11) Suyash sharma

He appeared well in the Syed Mustaq Ali trophy, a domestic cricket. It’s been a few months since he played in domestic cricket. In the previous IPL season he performed well and is expected to have the same form in this season too.

12) Tim David

In the RCB Unbox event, Tim David was hitting all the sixes for machinery balls. But not sure how he will be appearing in the actual IPL matches. Tim David did not appear that he has lost his form in the past. He usually comes at number 5 or at number 6, a key role as a finisher.

13) Romario Sheferd

Romario Sheferd is practicing well. It will not be surprising if he comes in the playing 11. If he looks effective in bowling, RCB might leave Josh Hazelwood in the playing 11 and there are high chances that RCB will choose Romario Sheferd instead of Jash Hazelwood.

Being an all rounder, he is well versed in both batting and bowling. In case Josh Hazelwood rules out due to injury, Romario Sheferd will be the replacement. But always the first preference will be Josh Hazelwood because of his experience.

Romario Sheferd is a good all rounder. It’s confusing whether he is batting all rounder or a bowling all rounder. With his contributions in bowling, he is able to contribute in batting too.

14) Nuwan Tushara

He is also appearing a well seam bowler according to the recent form. His bowling is similar to Malinga.

15) Manoj Bhandage

He also appeared in good form in T20’s in domestic cricket. It’s better if he plays as an impact player.

16) Jacob Bethel

RCB took Jacob Bethel as a back up player. Recently he got injured and was likely to be ruled out. He recovered and made a comeback to RCB. When we look at his recent form, it is not very appreciable. In the India vs England series, he was totally out of form. RCB made a good choice of selecting him as a back up player.

17) Devdutt Padikkal

He played better in ODI’s, test format. But he hasn’t made a huge sound in T20 format. He built his stats upto the mark, but too much extent in the Syed Mushtaq Ali trophy. Getting a chance in playing 11 is doubt. If he gets a chance, let’s see how he performs in the match.

18) Lungi Ngidi

When compared to other players, this player appears in form. Both Romario Sheferd and Lungi Ngidi appears in form when compared to other overseas players.

Other Indian players include Mohit Rathee, Abhinandan, Swastik Chikkara , Rasik Dhar. These players may not get a chance to play. It’s their luck if they get a chance to play in playing 11.

The main concern is on the overseas players whatever bowling or batting. There is not much concern about Indian players. All Indian players are appearing good and in form. But the overseas players like Liam Livingstone, Josh Hazelwood, Jacob Bethel, Phil Salt are main players in the team who lost their recent form.
These players were perfectly fit and were in the form during the IPL mega auction. Hence RCB brought these players to the team. But now these overseas players are inconsistent. There is concern about players injury i.e.Jacob Bethel and Josh Hazelwood. Both these players made a comeback from the injury and this has to be appreciated.

All the overseas players are capable of playing in the playing 11. It’s confusing for whom the chance has to be given.
