Update number 1: RCB Unbox Event
Welcome to the latest updates. Many are waiting for the RCB’s unbox event. But when? Who will be coming as a guest? What are the performances on live? How will the concert be. We are all waiting for this. We have experienced it in the previous season. It’s been 3 years since RCB started an unbox event.
When will be the RCB’s unbox event?
The date is not officially confirmed by RCB management. According to the inside reports. The Unbox event will be on the 15th of March. It’s on Saturday. Usually unbox event will be done on weekends.
But, there are a lot of confusions that an unbox event might or might not take place on March 15. But why? Because the WPL final is scheduled for March 15? What if RCB goes to the final? Are they going to do an unbox event on the same day rather than the RCB WPL final? These questions arise.
In case the RCB goes to the final. Unbox will not take place on March 15. It will be postponed to the further dates. If RCB did not go to the final, the unbox event will take place on March 15 i.e Saturday. Everything is defending the finals of RCB in WPL.
What if RCB qualified for the finals?
If we see the current form of RCB. It looks like a sure shot that RCB will go to playoffs. But RCB should not be overconfident. If RCB qualified for the finals, then the unbox event will not be on 15 March. It might get postponed to March 17 or 18. It takes place on an average date of March 15 to March 20.
In the previous season, it was on March 19. In this season IPL is starting early as compared to the previous season. So an unbox event might take place early.
If not Match 15, then there is a proper date i.e March 16 which is also a weekend. It is Sunday. But not exactly, they might schedule to 17th or 18th. They will fix one date in later days. According to the inside reports, it is fixed to March 15. The exact date will be confirmed after the official announcement.
What will be there in unbox event?
The captain reveal is already made. There will be a concert. It would be so better if the captain reveal was made in an unbox event. Like how Du Plessis was revealed as a captain of RCB in church street. But they have already revealed Rajat Patidar as a captain so early. If they created a craze like this in an unbox event, it was so much better. So there will be only a concert and jersey reveal.
In the previous unbox event, Virak Kohli said ‘ Idu RCB ya hosa adhyaya’ . Will see what Virat Kohli says in this season. No updates regarding who will be coming as a guest for the concert or unbox event. No update about who is playing the concert.
Since it is not officially confirmed, Match 15 is only an inside report. No tickets are available yet. No tickets available anywhere. The final date will be dependent on RCB qualifying for the finals. If RCB qualifies, the date will be postponed, if not, no changes in the tentative date.
Once the tickets are available, they will be sold immediately. It will be so better, if the event is on Saturday or Sunday as the crowd will be more. The crowd will be pulled on weekends. If it is a weekday, it is difficult to pull a crowd. Its better to keep on weekends and Hence we all wait for the official date to be announced by the RCB management.
Update number 2: RCB mentor Dinesh Karthik speaks about selecting Rajat Patidar as a captain.
The RCB mentor has given a reason why they selected Rajat Patidar as a captain, without a second thought. They declared a captain straight way to Rajat Patidar without looking at any other players. The reason given by Dinesh Karthik is
” The way Rajat Patidar led Madhya Pradesh during the domestic season was fantastic “
Everyone knows that Rajat Patidar led Madhya Pradesh well and took the team to the finals as a captain. Being a captain for the first time, he gave individual performance excellence along with captaincy in the Syed Mustaq Ali trophy. What else do we need from a player?. He shifted the team to the finals. This is what we expect. Under pressure he has performed individually and led the team carefully.
Both in captaincy wise and individual performance wise, Rajat Patidar was perfect in managing in T20 format, in the Syed Mustaq Ali trophy. This led him to select as a captain. He was an ideal choice. The fresh cycle is beginning, so RCB management looked for a new, perfect captain for T20. Hence they picked Rajat Patidar as captain of RCB.
Update number 3: IPL rules impact on CCL playoffs.
BCCI has sent serious mail to all the cricket stadiums. All the stadiums should be maintained clean and fresh for IPL. All the legit matches, local matches, celebrity matches are not allowed to play in the main stadium. All the stadiums are following strictly.
These BCCI rules on stadiums created a huge impact on CCL playoffs. The final and semifinal final matches were scheduled to play in Hyderabad which is the main stadium. Now the final and semifinal matches have been shifted to Mysore. Not even in Chinnaswamy stadium. The matches are rescheduled to March 1st and 2nd. This shift is because of strict rules from BCCI.
