Cricbuzz officially reported that the first inaugural match will be between RCB and a defending champion KKR. Usually KKR will be playing inaugural matches and runner up too.
In the previous season the inaugural match was between KKR and SRH. Everyone thought that the same thing would happen in 2025 too. But not. The inaugural match is scheduled between RCB and KKR.
It’s officially confirmed that this time KKR is up against Namma RCB. The match will be playing on 22nd March. It’s a happy thing that RCB is taking part in an inaugural match in 2025. The match will be playing in Eden Gardens, Kolkata. Not only the first match and the final match too. It’s routine for KKR to play on the home ground.
The first match will be playing in Kolkata. Eliminator match and qualifier 1 will be playing in Hyderabad. Qualifier 2 and final match will be playing in Eden Gardens, Kolkata. It’s officially confirmed.
The second match will be taking place between SRH and RR. It’s an afternoon match and will be playing on 23rd March. The complete schedule is not out yet. According to the inside reports of cricbuzz, these matches will be playing on particular dates.
Rajastan Rayala has announced that they will be playing their two home ground matches in Guwahati. It’s on March 26th and March 30th. They will be completing their matches in the Guwahati leg initially. RR will be playing against CSK and KKR in the Guwahati leg.
Punjab Kings also announced that they will be playing three home ground matches in Dharamshala. No update about the dates and opponent teams. They might be clearing Dharamshala’s leg in early matches.
The final match will be played on May 25 in Eden Gardens Kolkata. The first match will be RCB and KKR. We are all eagerly waiting for an inaugural match
. In WPL also, RCB played an inaugural match and now IPL too. RCB will be playing an inaugural match. Whatever RCB name has to be there.

Update number 2 : Sri Lanka is not a part of Champions trophy 2025.
Sri Lanka will not be playing in the Champions trophy 2025. But why ? The question arises. Due to the lack of ICC ranking, Sri Lanka was ruled out of the Champions trophy.
What a scene? Sri Lank had an ODI series against Australia. Sri Lanka has won both the ODI matches played against Australia. Australia is very. quality team in the world. World cup winning team. Sri Lanka has won both ODIs against such a team.
In 1st ODI, Sri Lanka won by 49 runs and 2nd ODI by 174 runs. Huge margin victory for Sri Lanka team. But they are in the champions trophy. Australia is the top quality team in the champions trophy of what we felt has lost against Sri Lanka. What to say for this?
But why ? Why did Australians not perform well? Injuries are hitting strongly to the Australian team. All the main players are going out of the team. This created a domination for Sri Lanka. Update number 3: Pakistan received a fine ( penalty ) from ICC.
Initially we were seeing a lot of fights when it comes to India vs Pakistan. In recent times Pakistan kept quiet while playing matches against India. But when it comes to other teams, Pakistan players show their attitude on the ground against opponents.
The tri-series playing in Pakistan between three nations i.e Pakistan, South Africa, and New Zealand. Recently, in the match between Pakistan and New Zealand there were a lot of fights between these two teams. All the Pakistan players started showing their aggression against South African players.
Since the champions trophy is hosted by Pakistan. So, Pakistan players are allowed to show their attitudes? No, not at all. Now the ICC has penalized Pakistan. Whatever they are hosting, they are not allowed to mislead on the ground.
Pakistan players are aggressive against other teams except India. When it comes to India, they are completely silent. No word from their mouths. They never show their attitude at all . We all will be keeping a lot of expectations that more fights will happen in India versus Pakistan match. But, Pakistan players go silent. No expectations at all now.
In history, many fights happened with India. But now it’s totally changed. It’s not India vs Pakistan, it is Pakistan versus some other countries.

ICC has officially announced the prize money in Champions trophy 2025.
Winners will be getting 20.8 crores. And runner up will be getting 10.4 crores almost half of the winners prize money.
Semi finalists will be getting 5.2 crores. 5th and 6th spots will be getting 3 crores each, And 7th and 8th positions will be getting 1.2 crores. Including all these, for every match, particular teams will get 29 lakhs each.
