Update number 1; RCB likely to replace Jacob Bethel in IPL 2025
In IPL mega auction 2025, RCB has bought a left hand middle order overseas player. That is Jacob Bethel, an English all rounder. We can say batter comes bowler. It means the batter who can bowl.
Jacob Bethel got injured in the T20 series against India. According to the reports Jacob Bethel is likely to be replaced for IPL 2025. There are totally five players in the top who can replace Jacob Bethel. These players are more likely to be chosen by RCB management.
But the situation has not gone to the extent of replacement. It’s officially confirmed that Jacob Bethel is ruled out from the ODI series against India and from the Champions trophy 2025.

Finn Allen usually plays in the opening shot and he can play in the middle order too. Now RCB is looking for a back up. Instead of taking Finn Allen and not providing any chances better not to take this player. According to the reports RCB might look at Finn Allen for one season. Chances are very less because better players are in the list.
2) Kyle Mayers
Kyle Mayers is a barbadian cricketer and plays international cricket for West Indies. There are higher chances that Kyle Mayers will go to RCB. He plays well in the middle order. We have seen him playing for LSG. He hasn’t made his name too top level, but his performance is appreciable. He is capable of bowling too. He is like to like replacement for RCB. If Kyle Mayers came to RCB, it will be a prefect for left to left hand replacement.
3) Jonny Bairstow
Jonny Bairstow also went unsold in IPL auction 2025. He used to play in the opening slot and was also capable of playing in the middle order too. According to reports RCB might keep hopes on him. We don’t think RCB will pick and Jonny Bairstow might not play as a replacement because of his standards. If he plays as replacement then his ego might not accept this. But, there are chances that he might play as a replacement which is totally based on the Bairstow mentality.
4) Dewald Brevis
RCB might consider this player. It looks like there are high chances that RCB might take this player as a replacement. Before playing to the Mumbai, Dewald Bravis openly told that he likes RCB a lot and wants to play for RCB. He is a able player who can give blast in middle and death overs. Hos performance made sound in only few matches, rest all dropped down. Let’s see how he plays if RCB picks him.
5) Sikandar Raza
Sikandar Raza is a Zimbabwe player and a quality all rounder. Even he went unsold in an IPL auction. In the world cup he gave a better performance. So he was picked in the last season, but did not perform well. Hence he went unsold for IPL 2025.
If we see all these five options, RCB has an option to choose Mathew short. It’s a total of 6 options. He is good all rounder, with batting. He plays well in bowling too. We can consider this Australian player.
Jacob Bethel is not sure about the walking player in playing 11. He is a back up player. Hence RCB will look for a back up player. Among 6, Kyle Mayers sounds good. We all wait till the RCB management decides to buy a new back up player for Jacob Bethel replacement.

Update number 3 : Indian team travelled to Dubai
The champions trophy will be taking place in Dubai. In less than a week, the tournament will be starting. The India team has now travelled to Dubai.
It would be better if they had gone to Dubai earlier To adopt the humid conditions of Dubai. We all know that Dubai stadiums never allow players to practise in stadiums. The players can practise somewhere else other than the stadium. They strictly follow ICC rules.
Adopting the humid conditions of Dubai in a very short period of time is very difficult for the players. They have played IPL before but all of a sudden getting to adapt to that condition is a little difficult. The Indian team would have gone earlier. Whatever, the India team has gone to Dubai that’s a pleasure to all the Indians.
